Spesso provoca effetti collaterali sulle cellule sane del corpo e pu\u00f2 influenzare la fertilit\u00e0 di una donna. Ci\u00f2 pu\u00f2 danneggiare le ovaie e ridurre il numero di ovuli (riserva ovarica).  <\/p><p>L&#8217;effetto della chemioterapia sulla fertilit\u00e0 dipende da:<\/p><ul><li>Il tipo di farmaci che verranno somministrati.<\/li><li>La dose e per quanto tempo prenderai i farmaci.<\/li><li>La combinazione di farmaci che ti verr\u00e0 somministrata.<\/li><li>La tua et\u00e0 e il tuo stato precedente di fertilit\u00e0.<\/li><\/ul><p>La chemioterapia pu\u00f2 danneggiare le ovaie e gli ovuli di una donna. Ci\u00f2 pu\u00f2 significare che il ciclo mestruale di una donna spesso si interrompe o diventa irregolare durante la chemioterapia. Ci\u00f2 potrebbe accadere entro pochi mesi o potrebbe richiedere fino ad un anno o pi\u00f9. Pi\u00f9 sei giovane durante il trattamento chemioterapico specialmente se hai meno di 35 anni, pi\u00f9 \u00e8 probabile che le mestruazioni ritornino. Il numero di anni in cui sei fertile potrebbe, per\u00f2, diminuire. Anche se le tue mestruazioni tornano, questo non significa necessariamente che sarai in grado di rimanere incinta in futuro.    <\/p><h4>Permanente<\/h4><p>Se le modifiche al ciclo mestruale sono permanenti, significa che i tuoi cicli non torneranno dopo il trattamento antitumorale e invece avr\u00e0 inizio la menopausa. Le donne di et\u00e0 superiore ai 35 anni hanno maggiori probabilit\u00e0 di essere sterili dopo il trattamento antitumorale.
