Puede administrarse externamente, a trav\u00e9s de una m\u00e1quina que emite rayos invisibles hacia el cuerpo, o internamente, a trav\u00e9s de diminutos implantes radiactivos en el cuerpo (braquiterapia). <\/p><p>Las probabilidades de que la radioterapia afecte o no a la fertilidad depender\u00e1 de su ubicaci\u00f3n (proximidad a los ovarios, el \u00fatero o el cerebro) y de la dosis.<\/p><ul><li>Altas dosis de radioterapia en los ovarios podr\u00edan da\u00f1ar los \u00f3vulos en su interior y provocar una insuficiencia ov\u00e1rica prematura (POI, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s).<\/li><li>El tratamiento que afecta al \u00fatero puede provocar futuros abortos, partos prematuros y beb\u00e9s de bajo peso.<\/li><li>Si la radioterapia se administra en el cerebro, puede afectar a la hip\u00f3fisis. Esto podr\u00eda interferir con las se\u00f1ales hormonales utilizadas para los \u00f3vulos que permanecen en el ovario. <\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div
